The regions of the UK are seeing more and more transactions in the specialist property sectors – with potentially huge benefits for the whole country. Regions shift to specialist sectors I n 2018, over £22bn of property was transacted in the UK regions. A third of the total consisted of the specialist property sectors – residential, hotels, student accommodation, healthcare and mixed use. This was the highest share on record, and there is every indication that the trend is likely to continue in 2019. Our own research has also suggested that the specialist sectors will gain momentum over the next five years. Held in seven cities around the country, our Property Outlook events recently brought together over 1,000 property influencers for a day of networking, learning and insights.
